Fiorenzo Tagliabue founded SEC Group in 1989 and continues to be involved in the company’s day to day operations and strategic management, serving as Executive Chairman of the group. Mr Tagliabue has played a key role in building SEC Group into the largest Italian PR firm in terms of revenue and in expanding the group’s foot print internationally. In addition to his role as Executive Chairman, he personally oversees the lobbying and public affairs division, based in Milan and Rome. After gaining a degree in philosophy, Mr Tagliabue worked as a journalist and was co-founder of the weekly publication “il Sabato” which he edited until 1987.
Prior to founding SEC, Mr Tagliabue served as Managing Director of NEI Spa, the company that edits the daily newspaper Avvenire (1983-1989) and as general secretary of the Vatican Television Centre (1986-1989). Mr Tagliabue holds numerous teaching posts in the area of communication, in particular in public communication. He was on the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Teatro alla Scala of Milan for 10 years, and is a member of the Boards of Fondazione Banco Alimentare onlus and IUAV (Istituto Universitario Architettura Venezia), one of the nation’s most important architecture departments, based in Venice.
Mark founded Newington in 2006, and has overseen its growth into the dynamic and award winning consultancy that it is today. He splits his time between Newington’s London and Edinburgh offices – offering strategic counsel to board directors across a range of sectors at a local, devolved and national government level. He is Chairman of the Association of Professional Political Consultants (APPC).
Mark has been actively involved in politics since 1985 – as a councillor for twelve years, which included serving as the Chair of the Labour Group in Southwark (2002-2014), London and sitting on the Federal Executive of the Liberal Democrats in the early 1990s. A regular public speaker, Mark also sits on the Independent Advisory Group of the Marston Group, is on the Court of the Company of PR Practitioners in the City of London, was a Founding Director of the Reformer magazine, supports charity UK Youth and is a regular industry awards judge.
Phil co-founded Newington in 2006 and since then has spearheaded its growth in the planning and development sector, and on local and devolved levels. During this time, Phil and the Newington team have worked in more than 90% of local planning authorities across the UK and has delivered a 95%+ success rate in securing planning consents. Phil has worked in politics and communications for almost 30 years, advising international companies such as Qatari Diar, Far East Consortium, Wheelabrator and AES alongside UK sector leaders such as Barratt Development Plc, Legal and General, RES and British Land. He has worked across all sectors of planning, development and infrastructure, and has advised public sector bodies such as local authorities, and public-private partnerships alongside private sector clients.
He previously served as a Conservative councillor in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and has been a candidate for the Greater London Assembly. Phil is a member of Catalyst UK and sits on the UKTI Professional and Business Services Trade and Investment Advisory Group. He also sits on the British Property Federation Student Accommodation Committee.
Since February 2007 he is a CEO of Martis CONSULTING. Prior to this he was a CEO of PARKIET Media, the publisher of Gazeta Giełdy PARKIET which is a leading Polish stock market daily. Before he became Head of Marketing and Sales of Gazeta PARKIET and its Board Member (2003 – 2004), he was its Deputy Editor In Chief (1999 – 2003). Since 1994 he was a professional business journalist, a columnist and also a stock market expert at TVN24. Dariusz is a licensed stockbroker and investment adviser and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He holds an MBA in journalism and political sciences from University of Warsaw. He graduated from Warsaw School of Economics, Market Analysis and Marketing Department. He serves on Supervisory Boards for Martis SA and Boryszew SA and Alchemia SA.

In 1999-2005 she worked as a journalist for Gazeta Giełdy “PARKIET”. Awarded with nomination to E. Kwiatkowski award for outstanding services for the growth of economic relations between Poland and Polish community abroad after 1989. Ewa Bałdyga was among 10 finalists of the first edition of Radio PiN i BRE Bank competition: Bizneswoman of 2008. Nominated for Protony competition three times. outside the scope of her professional activities, Ewa Bałdyga also conducts educational activities. Thanks to her efforts, the first post-graduate studies in Investor Relations and Financial Communication were launched in Warsaw School of Economics. She also initiated CSR Academy, Poland-wide conference cycle, educating small and medium-size companies.
Giancarlo Frè, CEO, has a degree in law at “Sapienza” University Rome and over 30 years of experience in different branches of communications in national and international contexts. He joined the external relations management team at Selenia-Elsag (Stet) in 1985, becoming Head of International Media Relations two years later, and then Director of Media Relations. In 1992 he joined capo Alenia as International Media Relations Manager while in 1996 he worked as the Director of Communications, Image and Marketing Support for AIR international Consortium, (ATR and British Aerospace). In 1999 he became the Director of Media Relations for Alenia Spazio. In 2001 he joined PMS as Vice President, handling IPOs, merger and financial crisis cases. He has been the CEO of SEC and Partners since the company was founded. Over the years Giancarlo Frè has performed the communication activities related to the following financial transactions: the Astaldi, Pirelli & C. Real Estate, Terna, Group Sole 24 Ore and Ansaldo STS IPOs; the Montedison/Edison, Newco28 Autostrade and Autogrill Aldeasa takeover bids; the capital increases of A.S. Roma, Fastweb and Alitalia (advisor for the global coordinator Deutsche Bank); the issuance of bonds for Milan City Council; the acquisitions of Edison by EDF and of Wind by Weather Investments.
Having graduated in Economics in Arts, Culture and Media from Bocconi University, she has been the Managing Director of Hit Servizi per la comunicazione since 2006. She is responsible for staff management and business development, and has personally managed the selection and coordination of personnel for important institutional events, such as the promotion of Expo Milan 2015, the convention held by the Rai public TV station in St. Moritz, the inauguration of Palazzo Lombardia, and numerous road shows. Moreover, she lectured on staff management for the Master in Event Management at the European Institute of Design in Milan.
With over 25 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations, he started with ADV and went on to manage business communications and public affairs, firstly in the English Granada Group plc and then in SEAT-Yellow Page. Professionally, he trained in Rome in the 1980s and in 1993 returned to Turin, his hometown, where he founded SEC & Associates in 1997. Since 2004 he has been the company’s Chief Executive Officer. In recent years, with SEC & Associates, he has worked on the corporate communications of companies and public organizations, focusing on constant innovation in processes and the impact of new technologies. A longstanding partner and trainer of FERPI, Italian Public Relations Federation, from 2000 to 2010 he was a board member of IRES, Institute for Social and Economic Research and also sat on the board of the Prospera Onlus charity from 2009 to 2015.
The creative director of SEC and president of Curious Design, Alberto has been working in the communications field for 35 years. Early on in his career he worked as a copywriter in several international agencies, then becoming creative director, and finally a partner of Angelini Design in 1999, and he opened his own agency in 2007. In 2011 he joined SEC Group. Alberto has won some of the most important national communication awards and some of the most relevant international ones. He graduated in Economics at Catholic University, Milan.
Gianluigi Conese, born in 1969 is CEO of Sec Mediterranea Srl Public Relations agency. He has a degree in Business Administration with honors (1992, University of Bari). From 1995 to 2002 he worked in Milan in the business communication area for Publitalia ’80 (TV network and advertising space sales house); then, he worked for Egg - Integrated Communication agency (managing customers that included Credito Bergamasco, Carlsberg and Walt Disney). He has worked for Sec Relazioni Pubbliche e Istituzionali since 1999, managing events, sponsorship, corporate and economic and financial media relations. In 2002 he joined Sec Mediterranea Srl, based in Bari, offering media relations consultancy for public and private institutions, corporate social responsibility, crisis management, events and digital PR for different local business and institutions (such as ANCE Bari and BAT, ANCE Puglia, Biscottificio Di Leo, Cle srl, De Carlo Infissi, Apulian Productive Computing District, De Gennaro Group, Openwork, Bari Lawyers’ Order). For three years, Mr. Conese was Vice-President of Confindustria Bari and BAT - Innovative Tertiary and Communication sector.
